2024 K-GKS Admission Call for Graduate School Studying
at KIT, Korea
We are pleased to inform you of
2024 K-GKS (K-Global Korea
Scholarship) Guidelines for Master’s and Doctoral candidates here in Korea.
As the one and only national
engineering specialized university in Korea, we will be able to nominate
candidates up to 10 for this K-GKS admission. This might be a great opportunity
for you to be able to study in Korea with a full regional government
scholarship and to settle down with decent jobs supported by Gyeongsangbuk-do
and KIT.
Please see attached for further
information and if there are any candidates interested in this program, please
send me one
original application document package by post and one scanned soft copy by
E-mail no later than April 19th, (Friday), 2024. Your original application
documents must be delivered to my office by the deadline.
1. Scholarship
Duration
Master's Degree Program(2 yrs),
Doctoral Degree Program(3 yrs)
*K-GKS recipients who will be
enrolled in Kumoh National Institute of Technology will be able to pursue one’s
degree program on September 1st, 2024. One year of Korean language
program is exempted.
2.
Required Language Proficiency Test Result
Applicants MUST submit one of below official language proficiency test
certificates.
- minimum language proficiency
test certificate: TOPIK level 3, TOEIC 750, TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL ibt 79, TEPS
327, IELTS 6.0 or higher
- Eligibility requirements are
limited to the results of the language test taken within the last two years as
of the application deadline for K-GKS admission
- If candidates are from the
country where English is spoken as first language (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland,
Australia, New Zealand), the English proficiency test will not be
required to hand in

4. Obligation for K-GKS
recipients

K-GKS recipients are obligated to either find a job at local companies or
pursue higher degree at universities located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and to
maintain residency in Gyeongsangbuk-do for three years after one’s graduation.

K-GKS final nominees must attend “Gyeongbuk Global School” program before the
start of the semester. Gyeongbuk Global School will last two weeks in August
2024, and is a program that introduces policy of Gyeongsangbuk-do and provides
scholars with opportunities to experience Korean culture, laws and etc., to
help them study and settle in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
All required documents must be
written by computer typing and send us one original document by post only (no
e-mail application will be accepted). We don’t have online application for this
K-GKS admission.
